Ceramic frits are vitreous material used in the preparation of most products intended for the decoration of ceramic tiles such as glazes, silk-screen inks, granite, granules, etc. They are obtained by melting at high temperature (between 1350º and 1550º) and then quickly cooling raw materials.
There are a wide range of types depending on the technical and esthetic requirements, as well as the different type of ceramic tiles: opaque, transparent, matt, shiny (satinado), glossy, floor-tile, wall-tile, other uses, erosion (desgaste) resistance, surface finish, etc.
